May 13th & 14th 2009 – Haymills Home Solutions participated recently at the CIH’s annual Repair & Maintenance exhibition, which runs alongside the Institute’s conference for those involved in housing repairs from ALMOs, Registered Social Landlords and Local Authorities. The event which was held in Leicestershire, attracted 150 delegates from social landlords throughout the country. The conference focussed on sessions from fifteen speakers covering topics such as Voids and the Void Re-letting Standard – 21st Century Supply Chain Management – Corporate Social Responsibility and many other topics. The conference highlight presentation was ‘Risk Taking and Decision Making’, by Caspar Berry, Professional Poker Player and Entrepreneur. New initiative sees tradesmen from Haymills working towards an NVQ in maintenance Operations in a dedicated training facility, which will improve the service offered to residents. Securing a new client is always a pleasure, and Haymills are delighted to include Orbit Group Ltd as a new client for Responsive Repairs and Void Maintenance in their eastern region.
